Thanks to Italian Asus PR agency, I was able to test an EEEPC subnotebook for a couple weeks and, as I feared, it was love at first sight. Now the EEE PC is gone, back to Asus, but I couldn’t resist writing an article titled The Asus EEE PC Experience and publishing it in a blog I’ve created to celebrate this great machine and collect all the relevant news, reviews, info and tips.

Sul sito Sony.co.uk si legge, alla fine di un articolo dedicato alla nuova console del colosso giapponese (il cui arrivo nei negozi e’ previsto per la primavera del 2006), che il processore Cell su cui la console e’ basata sarebbe compatibile con vari sistemi operativi, fra cui Linux e Mac OS X Tiger.
Un’affermazione che, su un sito apparentemente autorevole come questo, lascia davvero pensare…

Volete leggere una notizia inquietante? Certo, dopo quella del matrimonio a sorpresa Apple-Intel, e’ un po’ difficile rimanere sorpresi da altri annunci, eppure quella di Microsoft che recluta Daniel Robbins, il fondatore della nota distribuzione Linux Gentoo mi lascia personalmente con un senso di men che vaga inquietudine. Se poi a parlarne e’ The Inquirer o The Register, ci si sente ancora meno tranquilli. Il motivo ufficiale di questa assunzione e’ che Robbins dovrebbe aiutare l’azienda di Gates a ‘capire meglio l’Open Source’. Voi che ne dite?
